Jennifer Martelli

Jennifer Martelli was the author of multiple poetry collections including Psychic Party Under the Bottle Tree (Lily Poetry Review Books, 2024), and The Queen of Queens (Bordighera Press, 2022), which won the 2023 Italian American Studies Association Book Award and was shortlisted for a Massachusetts Book Award. 

Martelli received fellowships from the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Monson Arts, and the Mass Cultural Council in Massachusetts. Her work appeared in The Academy of American Poets’ Poem-A-Day, Best of the Net Anthology, Braving the Body anthology, Verse Daily, Plume, Tahoma Literary Review, and other publications. Martelli was also the co-poetry editor for MER (Mother Egg Review).

Martelli attended Boston University and The Warren Wilson MFA Program for Writers.

Martelli died on September 25, 2025.
