Amanda Quaid
https://amandaquaid.com/After working in theater for most of her life, Amanda Quaid began writing poetry in 2023. Her debut collection No Obvious Distress (John Murray, 2025) was a finalist for the Jake Adam York Prize and was named memoir of the month by The Independent. Her poems have appeared in Bellevue Literary Review, Rattle, Poetry Is Currency, Mom Egg Review, and other outlets. She was raised in New York City, where she works as a dialect coach, teaches at the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale, and lives with her husband and daughter. She co-edits the ekphrastic poetry zine Metphrastics.
