brittny ray crowell is a poet, artist, and assistant professor of English at Clark Atlanta University. Her debut collection was Cord Swell (W.W. Norton, 2025). A recipient of a Donald Barthelme Prize in Poetry and the Lucy Terry Prince Prize, her poems have appeared in The Common, Copper Nickel, The Journal, Ploughshares, and elsewhere. Her work as a librettist has been featured at Ohio State University and the Kennedy Center’s Cartography Project.
